Falling water is one of the most complete works of art by the Famed Architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. The weekend home was commissioned by the Kaufmanns and built between 1936 and 1938 for a cost of $155,000 (nearly 3 million today). The main house is 5,330 sqft, 2,445 sqft are terraces and the guest house is another 1,700 sqft. At age 67 and the completion of Falling water, the famed architect did more work after Falling water then in is previous years as an architect. In 2009 the cost of restoration for the home was more than 11 million dollars. To this day over 5 million people have visited the home.
